Happy new year bitches!!!!! Sorry this is a little on the late side, as you may of noticed my little blog baby has been on a little bit of a break. But i’m back and ready to type. Good bye 2017 and hello 2018. Its a new year and a fresh start in the sunny as hell Australia. I am so excited to see what this year is going to bring…. hopefully puppies.
I am super glad 2017 is done and dusted. It felt like such a filler year. Well the first 10 months did. I worked my little tush off 50 hours a week so I could finally TRAVEL!!!! Saving didn’t go so well but I managed to get some cash together, thanks holiday pay… Then finally November came and it was onto the plane I went. YARSS!! I had the best time travelling through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam and created so many amazing memories. I still have so much to share with you.
This little blog project I have going here has been a huge highlight of 2017, on the 1st of January I posted my first post, which was a pretty terrible blog post as far as blogs posts go, but hey, we’ve all gotta start somewhere. Over the year it’s opened up so many opportunities for me and I’ve made some awesome friends, been to many events and had a ball. I feel this little blog that started out as a side hobby has grown so much and I can’t wait to see where it goes with the new year.
I’ve traded rainy Manchester for the ever so sunny little city of Fremantle in Australia to set up a working/travelling life here. New year, new place, new goals. I am very quickly settling into life here in Australia and I dont think i’ll be able to swap back. Being surrounded by beaches and sun is pretty much every Brits dream, especially when you have to deal with rain 85% of the year in manchester. So yes, good bye 2017 and hello 2018 it is.
It’s not edgy to not set goals, Its 2018 and everyone does it. I certainly am doing. My main goals this year is to get fitter and eat healthier. This relationship weight I’ve got going on has gone to far. Me and Matt are on sorta health kicks… I’ll use that term very loosely, we do occasionally treat ourselves to a cheat day. The goal is to cut down on eating meat, dairy and gluten… ahem… “things that basic white girls say.” But now I’m in Australia and I dont want to waste the day lying in bed because its cold and miserable outside, These goals seem more realistic, especially if I take them in baby steps. In a years time I’m either going to weigh more or weigh less than I do now, hopefully it’s the latter.
Another goal is to create more amazing memories. Not become a slave to my job and actually get out there and see what else there is to offer in the world. In the last two months I’ve done more amazing things in my life than the rest of my life combined. I’m definitely not ready for that to stop.
So what are your goals for 2018? Are you glad to be seeing the back of 2017 or was it your year? Goodbye 2017 and hello 2018. Heres to new adventures, new friends and new opportunities. Happy New Year!!!!
